Illinois football players Darta Lee, Zarrian Holcombe and Howard “HoJo” Watkins Jr. were arrested and booked in the Champaign County Jail on Wednesday morning on charges of home invasion and armed robbery.
Lee, 18, was booked at 6:27 a.m. Wednesday, and Holcombe, 19, was booked at 10:22 a.m. Both players are from Texas: Lee from Fresno, Texas, and Holcombe from Houston. Watkins, a true freshman, was booked at 10:58 a.m.
All are scheduled for an arraignment hearing 1:30 p.m. Thursday.

Charlotte 49ers QB Kevin Olsen Arrested: Grand Jury Indicts on Rape, Assault Charges
The rape case against UNC Charlotte quarterback Kevin Olsen will go before the grand jury on Monday.
The younger brother of Carolina Panther Greg Olsen, was charged in February for the suspected attack on a female in an off-campus apartment. The grand jury handed up indictments on three counts of second-degree rape, two counts of assault on a female and one count of second-degree sexual offense.
Prosecutors said the quarterback texted a woman and threatened to kill her. They said he raped her, punched her in the face and also threatened to kill himself, wrapping a phone charger around his neck.
The accuser called the police and was treated for injuries at a hospital. The report said she had bruises and scratches.
He has has been suspended from UNC-Charlotte athletics.

Tennessee Volunteer wide receiver Josh Smith arrested
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) – Josh Smith, a Tennessee Volunteers wide receiver was arrested after a fight with his roommate, according to Knoxville Police Department.
Smith, 23, was charged with domestic assault. Police said Smith got into a fight with his roommate, Kennedy Foster, early Saturday morning.

Two Bowling Green football players charged with forgery
Two Bowling Green State University football players have been arrested on forgery charges. The cases of Malik Brown and Brian Jennings II, both 22 and with Bowling Green addresses, are pending through Bowling Green Municipal Court.

Northwestern football player, Xavier Washington suspended from team after being charged with possession of a controlled substance
Northwestern defensive end Xavier Washington has been suspended indefinitely from the football team after being arrested Sunday, a University spokesman said in a statement.
Washington was arrested in connection with possession of a controlled substance early Sunday morning near the intersection of Brown Avenue and Simpson Street, Evanston police Cmdr. Joseph Dugan said.
USF football player LaDarrius Jackson arrested on sexual battery charge
TAMPA — USF junior defensive end LaDarrius Jackson was arrested Monday night on charges of sexual battery and false imprisonment of another student at an on-campus residential hall.
Jackson, 22, was arrested by USF police around 10:30 p.m. at the USF police station, jail records show.

2 more USU football players arrested in connection with burglaries
LOGAN — Police have arrested two more Utah State football players in connection with a string of burglaries late last year.
Kevin Meitzenheimer and Dayshawn Littleton were booked into the Cache County Jail Monday afternoon. Both 19-year-old men are suspected of witness tampering and obstructing justice. Meitzenheimer is also suspected of aggravated assault and failing to give his name to officers.
