Florida Gators receiver Antonio Callaway has been cited on a complaint of marijuana possession, according to Alachua County court records.

The Gainesville Police Department stopped a Merecedes SUV at 12:50 a.m. Saturday for a seatbelt violation. Police smelled marijuana and found about 7 grams in the Gator’s pocket. Another 5.4 grams of marijuana were found in the car. Both Callaway and 40-year-old Kendrick Williams claimed ownership of the drugs, according to the court documents. Williams has a long criminal history with more than a dozen arrests in the state for complaints ranging from drugs and guns to battery and vehicle theft.

UF tight end C’yontai Lewis and two women were at the scene, too, but not accused of any wrongdoing, according to Gainesville police.

Northwestern football player, Xavier Washington suspended from team after being charged with possession of a controlled substance

Northwestern defensive end Xavier Washington has been suspended indefinitely from the football team after being arrested Sunday, a University spokesman said in a statement.

Washington was arrested in connection with possession of a controlled substance early Sunday morning near the intersection of Brown Avenue and Simpson Street, Evanston police Cmdr. Joseph Dugan said.

Elijah Holyfield, UGA RB arrested on marijuana-related charges

Elijah Holyfield The Fulmer CupGeorgia running back Elijah Holyfield was arrested early Monday morning on charges of possession of marijuana (less than an ouce) and possession of marijuana-related objects according to the Athens Clarke-County jail logs. Both charges are classified as misdemeanors. 

The sophomore from Atlanta was booked into the jail around 3:19 a.m. and was released on bond a short time later at 4:08 a.m.

MTSU students arrested for evading police, possession of drugs

Two MTSU students were arrested Thursday at approximately 7:30 p.m. for evading and resisting arrest, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a schedule VI narcotic at Raiders Ridge Apartments in Murfreesboro.

An officer was conducting a courtesy room check at the apartment complex and spotted the two students, Jaidarius Temple and Justin Akins, both age 21, sitting in a red Toyota Camry. Akins was sitting in the passenger seat when he placed a large clear bag filled with a green substance into his pants. When the officer went to speak with the two students, Temple sped away in an attempt to exit the complex but was blocked by two other officers in the parking lot.
