Ohio State’s Marcus Hooker charged with DUI in Pennsylvania

Marcus Hooker The Fulmer CupOhio State freshman safety Marcus Hooker has been charged with driving under the influence by police in Neshannock Township, Pennsylvania.

Hooker, 18, was also charged with purchase of alcohol by a minor, disregarding traffic lanes, careless driving and having no rear lights from an incident that occurred on June 16. Lawrence County court records show that Hooker has a preliminary hearing set for 9:30 a.m. on July 5.

Court records also show that Hooker’s blood alcohol content registered between .10 and .16.

Cleveland.com’s request for comment from Ohio State was not immediately returned.

Hooker is the younger brother of former Ohio State safety Malik Hooker, who now plays for the Indianapolis Colts.

The New Castle, Pennsylvania native moved to Ohio State’s campus on June 3 with other members of the Buckeyes’ 2018 recruiting class.
